The First Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministries are a valuable part of our multi-generational church. When it comes to building Christ-centered relationships through Lifegroup involvement or actively participating in important evangelistic ministry, our Senior Adult Ministries remain an active blessing to our church, the surrounding community, and the men and women who participate in them.

Senior Adult Ministries (or S.A.M.) got it’s start in 1989 after Pastor Harpell shared an idea for a senior group that would not only spend time together for social events, but also minister to others by contributing to missions both at home and abroad.

Today, S.A.M. continues to contribute to our community and beyond through fund-raising events and volunteering at events that impact our community. Some of the funds generated by these fund-raising events provide financial support to local missions such Volunteers of America, Young Life, and Everett Gospel Mission, as well as providing special gifts during the holidays to those in need. There are also international missions that receive support from Senior Adult Ministries.

We continue to meet monthly for a fellowship luncheon as well as plan recreational trips throughout the year, including a yearly summer picnic at a local park.

No matter how or where Senior Adult Ministry is serving our focus is always on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So if you’re over fifty, come join us! We look forward to meeting you!
