High School
Sunday ONEworship - Unplugged
Many people of ONE heart worshipping ONE God
There has been a long-standing tradition of meeting together for worship and teaching. In Student Ministries we like that tradition. We meet every Sunday at 9am for ONEworship – Unplugged. The high schoolers are an integral part of this service through their participation and serving.
High School Post Service Gathering
Every Sunday after ONEworship – Unplugged we meet together in the high school room (152) to discuss the Bible, our lives, and anything else that comes up. There are many things we do at that time; we eat, discuss, sit, stand, tomfoolery, shenanigans, and what-have-you. It‘s a great time to connect and see how Jesus can impact our everyday life.
Wednesday - L.I.F.E. groups
It is vital in our lives as Christ-followers to have people around us that we can encourage and hold accountable as they do the same for us. L.I.F.E. Groups are our launching pad for becoming more like Jesus and living our faith out to our friends. They consist of 3 to 8 students coming together with 1 or 2 adult disciplers for the purpose of spiritual growth and life development: growing our hearts and hands toward God and people. Students pray for one another, discover how God’s Word can apply to their life, & plan “Tasks/Events” for their friends and serve others in the community. On Wednesdays, High Schoolers first meet at the Everett Boys & Girls’ Club at 4:00pm to be buddies with the young ones and then move to the leaders’ home from 5:45-8pm for dinner and LIFE.
- L – Lifting each other up
- I – Investigating the Word
- F – Friends… praying and planning events for our friends
- E – Exalting the Father… honoring Him with our life
Youth make a commitment to be there on a weekly basis and engage in the mission of the L.I.F.E. Group.
SERVE Teams
God has given each person talents, abilities and to the believer, spiritual gifts, to be used for his glory by serving others. There are two venues High Schoolers have opportunity to serve others. HIGH Schoolers serve the children at the Boys and Girls Club on Wednesday afternoons through playing games and building relationships. They also serve their non-Christian friends as they plan events for them through their LIFE Group. Additionally, they can serve on Sunday mornings through a SERVE Team in Children's Ministry.
