Brian Harpell, Lead Pastor, bharpell@fbc-everett.org

It’s hard to believe! Our family has been connected with FBC for twenty years having come from the east coast in 1988. And here’s the big deal about this: after twenty years, our entire family loves this community of God’s people and is still amazed by the exciting things God is doing. My wife, Lynne and I have been married for 30 years and in addition to our son, Scott and daughter, Amanda, we have our goldens Solomon and Beau. Among my favorite activities are dating my wife, spending time trying to stay up with my kids, playing ice hockey, serving as chaplain of our local hockey team, the Silvertips, reading and listening to: Casting Crowns, Passion, Chris Tomlin and Coldplay. A verse that has guided my life is: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  (Philippians 4:13)

Alex Tarin, Children's Pastoralex@fbc-everett.org

Hi, my name is Pastor Alex and I have been here since July of 2008.  Some of my favorite activites are golf, basketball, college football, cheering on the Oregon Ducks and the Portland Trail Blazers.  I love to listen to Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin and Selah.  My wife and I have a boy named Aaden.  I love working with kids and look forward to seeing how God can further use me for His Kingdom.  My life verse is John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Nathan Yocum, Student Ministries Pastor, nathan@fbc-everett.org

I moved to Everett in 2002 from Columbus, Ohio and love living in the Pacific Northwest.  When I was 16 I felt called to be a student pastor and that calling has stayed a strong part of my life ever since.  I love working with students and watch their relationship with Christ grow and shape their lives as they work through their difficult teenage years.  Some of the activities I enjoy are hanging out with my amazing wife, playing with my boys Rudy and Shane, watching and following Ohio State football, coaching football, and picking flowers.  A verse that has guided my journey with Christ is Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than ourselves.  Each of you should not look only at your own interests but also to the interests of others."
