People have often said, “I wish our church was more like the church of the New Testament” somehow imagining that the first century church was this idealic faith community. Nothing could be further from the truth!
This fall, in a teaching series called “GROW UP!” Pastor Brian Harpell will teach the letter known as 1 Corinthians which the Apostle wrote to first century Christians living in Corinth. This letter was written by the Apostle Paul to help them untangle the many moral messes and theological problems they had created.
The challenge that Paul presents is to move from spiritual immaturity to spiritual maturity—to GROW UP! This teaching series will provide practical instruction on how to grow in your faith and how to grow in Christ-like character marked by love, wisdom and practical compassion.
You’ll want to be present on the very first day of this series, Sunday September 9th as we move, verse by verse, through the book of 1 Corinthians. Remember that there is a new fall worship schedule that begins on September 9th with One Worship being offered at 10:30 am and small groups being offered at 9 am. Be sure to bring your Bible and how about bringing a friend.
